It is possible to purchase a new vehicle at zero rated VAT if the vehicle is fitted with an adaptation prior to it being registered to yourself.
For a vehicle to be sold VAT free the following conditions apply;
1) The vehicle must be substantially and permanently adapted.
2) The disabled person must use a wheelchair in order to be mobile(a person with a degenerative condition who only uses a wheelchair when the condition requires it also qualifies as a wheelchair user).
Autochair Limited have worked with thousands of car dealers adapting the vehicle prior to it being registered and have saved the customer the VAT on the vehicle itself. This VAT saving can then go towards the cost of the adaptation.
Please ring us on 0800-214045 for further information.
The 2 links below give information on the sequence of saving the VAT on a vehicle and also provides the car dealership with a VAT Zero rated form which they will need you to sign.
Here at Autochair we believe you should not buy any product unless you have tried it for yourself, for this reason we offer FREE home assessments.
