Unlike most other push pull hand controls on the market, the control rods, connecting the SmartDrive to the brake and accelerator pedals, are routed inside the steering column which means comfort and ease when getting in and out of the vehicle – and no bruised knees!, as well as much safer driving for other drivers using the foot pedals.
The connection brackets are also positioned high up on the foot pedals which reduces the risk of catching your shoe on them – SmartDrive provides a much safer driving experience.

SmartDrive+ for additional control
With SmartDrive+ you have the added advantage of an indicator switch built into the handle allowing you to operate either the left or right indicators, without taking your hand off the steering wheel.
Whilst some customers are happy that they can safely operate the standard indicator lever on the SmartDrive steering column, other have found that driving with SmartDrive+ gives them more control.
