Grand Designs for Autochair

We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Sloss as New Products Design Engineer, introducing an in-house mechanical design capability which will focus on current projects in development. Working closely with the engineering team, Chris will be developing procedures and processes for efficient manufacture and assembly of the final products. His design expertise is also crucial to exploring the exciting new product ideas of Autochair in 2011 and beyond.

Graduating with a BEng (Hons) First Class in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, Chris's move to Autochair was inspired by the interesting design challenges their unique products bring, as well as the rewarding nature of his new role. He says: I'm thrilled with this opportunity to take Autochair forward and lead their investment in design technology. After meeting the team it was obvious that they take great pride in their work and that they have  lot of exciting new projects for the future which I am keen to work on'
