Here’s how our Smart Scooter Seat has already helped a lovely customer get out and about independently and enjoy the cricket throughout the summer!

When Mrs Sanderson came to us, she was unable to lift her mobility scooter in and out of her vehicle and was desperate for a solution so she could leave the house without relying on others. Our Boot Hoist and Smart Scooter Seat was the answer she was looking for.

Firstly, we carried out a free no obligation home demonstration so we could showcase the hoist in action and allow Mrs Sanderson to try it out for herself to ensure she was comfortable operating it.

We then assessed the measurements of her Pride Apex Rapid scooter and the boot space of her Volkswagen Golf SV. In this instance, the seat on the Pride Apex Rapid needed to be removed to fit into the boot of the car. However, this was not viable for Mrs Sanderson as the scooter seat was too heavy and cumbersome for her to remove.

Rather than having to change scooter or car, Mrs Sanderson opted to have our Smart Scooter Seat installed as a lightweight alternative.

The Smart Scooter Seat now allows Mrs Sanderson to easily disassemble and reassemble the seat on her Pride Apex Rapid mobility scooter so that it can fit into the boot of her car. The Smart Lifter Boot Hoist then allows her to lift & load her scooter into the back of her car – with just the touch of a button.
